Whilst not an 'ordinary' object, an abandoned fishing net collected by a local e-NGO in Malta known as Zibel has been used as a bottle collection structure for a project involving collecting bottles and using the money obtained from recycling them to provide to local charities. This enables the main part of the structure to be recycled and did not require the manufacturing and purchasing of a brand new item. It also extending the lifetime of the net even longer - something that is important nowadays, specifically as the net was still durable enough to be used for this project. This has also been stationed at the university to attract students, as well as local festivals and village feasts. Link to structure - https://www.zibel.org/past-projects
